Project: Recladding the roof with composite panels.

Over 1,100 square meters of 100mm thick Trisomet 333 insulated composite panels were supplied for the apple storage facility located in Horsted Keynes Business Park in West Sussex.

Scope: 36.5m x 25.0m x 2.2m overhang along both side elevation; 6 no. 6.096m bays.

The building features galvanised steel structure, fibre cement roofing and timber Yorkshire boarding. There are two 2m open-sided overhangs to allow feed fences fixing and air circulation to accommodate over 100 cows.

Scope: 364 square meters

Neil Prescott MD of Heidenhain GB invited us to bring the ageing Burgess Hill Office up to date.  The Heidenhain corporate image was not reflected in the existing 1970s’ Architectural design.  After extended discussions and some excellent mock up imagery by 360 Group, it was decided to completely overclad the building with Kingspan Optimo Composite Panel.

Scope: 42.0 long x 19.3 wide overall x 5.0 to eaves.

Lodgelands Farm is undergoing a modernisation and expansion program.  A key part of this is the amalgamation of two herds onto the one Farm.  To achieve this we have erected a new building to house the incoming heard of dairy cowes.  The building was fitted out with scraping passages and cubical bedding. As part of this project we developed the clean & dirty water separation systems.

Holmstead Farm were looking to revamp a old straw barn. Robin Stevenson Ltd took on this project and completely refitted the interior with a partition walls, a mezzanine floor and seperate office space. Cedral boarding was used to close in the building along with double glazed windows/doors and a roller shutter.

Balcombe Estate were in need more workshop space at their Sawmill based in West Sussex. They had a vision of investing in a new Horizontal Mebor HTZ1200 Extreme bandsaw to expand their company and offer new exciting products, however, they didn’t have the space or buildings to facilitate the new saw. Robin Stevenson Ltd, built a new workshop for them – 36m long x 20m wide x 6m to eaves…. The saw is now up and running and can cut long lengths of up to 10 meters as well as large trees up to 1.5m diameter!

This project was a conversion of an existing agricultural into a commercial unit.  The building has been brought up to current building regulation standards to provide a modern high quality unit for the new tenant. The work involved the construction of a new factory floor,  access doors and a fully insulated re clad of the walls and roof.

Back in early 2017 Robin Stevenson Ltd built a new dairy unit for Lodgelands Farm based in Balcombe. This building is now used for general day to day farming including daily milking as well as working with the local school for farming projects and educations purposes. The milking parlor has capacity to milk 400 cows daily. This new transformation has hugely improved farming at Lodgelands.

We’ve worked with English Woodlands Timber for a number of years now. They came to us back in 2017 as they wanted to build an extension between two existing units. RS Ltd worked closely with EWT to make sure the building specification met their exact needs, to provide a high quality covered timber dispatch area. We provided a full design and build service for this project.

East Sussex - Uckfield

We were appointed to erect a small lean to an existing commercial unit based in Uckfield. Windmill Feeds wanted to expand the rear of its building to allow deliveries to be offloaded under cover. RS Ltd erected a small steel framed lean to roughly 48m2, cladded down to finish floor level in GWG Vertical 0.5mm Forward profile, incorporating a roller shutter door and a personnel access door.

Converting an existing steel framed barn into a large residential property. The client came to RS Ltd with a clear vision on what they wanted. RS Ltd just helped make it happen! From the ground up, and everything in between – This old steel frame now houses a spacious 6 bed country house, externally cladded with natural Siberian Larch with floor to ceiling windows over looking the beautiful Sussex countryside.

A medium sized building conversion was carried out for Heaselands Estate, an existing modern agricultural building was converted into a commercial unit suitable for accommodating Oakmasters new timber processing plant.

Bluebell Railway

Horsted Keynes Station

Bluebell Railway required a new carriage and wagon shed at Horsted Keynes Station. Robin Stevenson Ltd have recently completed Phase 1 by constructing 2 of the 3 span building. The shed is designed to shelter Bluebell Railways vintage trains and consists of 40mm composite insulated panel roofing. Phase 2 of construction is due to start next year and will consist of building span 3 and closing in ‘E’ road.

Opas

West Sussex - Worthing

Opas is a commercial unit based in Worthing. RS Ltd was approached by the client as they were in desperate need of a roof refurbishment. Studies showed that the original roof was Asbestos, so great care was taken, following strict H&S guidelines. Access to the roof was very difficult, so careful preliminary planning was carried. Once everything was in place, RS Ltd carried out a strip and lay system to prevent the stock within the building being exposed to the elements. The commercial unit was re-clad with 100mm Kingspan composite panel insulated cladding.
